Subject: heater hose help
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

I blew a heater hose in my 84GL 1.9L waterboxer. The hose was swelled up and real soft. I should have realized it's condition and replaced it earlier. It's the hose that runs from nipple on the the front of the right head to the tee below the rear seat heater core. It's complement (feed/return?) hose runs from the adjacent tee to the steel pipe that runs across the top of the engine from just above the right head to the left side somewhere (I don't recall where). Anyway, I figure I should replace both of them but neither the Bus Depot nor the dealer show them as available. If anyone knows where I can get them or even the factory p/n's kindly let me know. It appears the blown hose is custom molded and not applicable to garden variety heater hose replacement. Anyone know otherwise? Thanks

Tom Brobst
