I just bot an '84 westfalia full camper. Compared to any other car I've driven in the past decade the front wipers are pathetic. They have 2 speeds-- slow and slower. OK in a drizzle, marginal in rain and, I'm sure, hopeless in snow. VW tells me that there has been no upgrade for the motor installed 19 yrs ago. I've searched the archives but find no discussion of this subject. I'd be happy to replace the wiper motor if it'd be an improvement, but my gut tells me that just putting another '84 motor isn't the right solution. There's gotta be a better way to go. Can anyone help?--Skip |
