----------------- What were the weather conditions going to and from destinations? Did you have a headwind or a tailwind? Was one way more uphill/downhill than the other? ----------------- On a trip to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix, which was mostly uphill, I started on a full tank and had to stop for more gas on the way there. That second tank of gas got me the rest of the way to the canyon, then all the way home without another stop. I can't remember specifically, but I think the MPG going was 19, MPG coming back was 26. Or something like that. Of course, different gas pumps have different shut-off sensitivity, so take that grain of salt with it. Bill Marshall 85 GL Tiico "Pandora's Box" Aurora, IL |
