The Nokians will generate more noise than your all-seasons, but they are more quiet than most other snow tires that I have driven on. Either way the real issue is safety and traction, in which I have yet to drive a better tire for snow and ice. The sales dept. at the dealership I work for puts Nokians on the Demo's for safety and noise reduction, they do not want customers getting an unfavorable impression about the vehicle because of inferior tires. The company shuttle van also uses them, can't have it getting into accidents while transporting clients.
