I've found that a typical 5-gallon plastic gas can will fit in the Westy roof rack quite nicely. It's easily secured with a couple of bungees crossed on top and hooked to the standard tie-down loops. I carried one like this on my '75 bus for years when I lived in the boonies. Never had a problem. Two would fit, I'm sure. Not sure about where to put a second spare wheel. If all else fails, you could mount a hitch receiver and use one of those platforms that fits into them. I see these on pickup campers a lot for carrying things like generators. |
