Vibrating tiico engines just suck.... Ask Julianna and Bob Johnson :-) What Matt described was the fix for a mutual friends Westfalia. Replacing all the accessory brackets with Golf/Jetta items worked. It wasn't a direct cross over though. You have to customize the PS high-pressure hose and you will need to have an assortment of pulleys to get things right. Lastly, we didn't reattach her A/C compressor. I am not sure which brackets to use if you intend on making this work. Further (Matt correct me if I'm wrong) you may have to use the Jetta/golf compressor (so it fits the bracketry and location correctly).
I am sure that there are still photos of this lying around someplace should anyone be interested. This buzzing/vibration was around 3500 RPM and pretty annoying. That and the belts and bolts and bracket constantly breaking (Peter are you listening yet, the bracket is a POS). I think this left Julianna stranded a half dozen times before Matt, Kraig and I fixed it. She has had minimal other issues since things were done. This is my 3 cents worth, Brian
