I had heard from local marina ( and heeded) that Bounce fabric softener sheets or similar product, work to keep the mice out. My understanding is that they dislike the perfume smell. I store my vans in the winter and this is something that has seemed to work very well. NO Rats/mice in 2003!! It cant hurt even if the mice in your area don't mind it. It smells nice in the spring at-least.
