>Anyone ever heard of a conversion with a toyota previa engine?

Previa, sold under that name in export markets; sold as Estima in Japan, where it's sold in narrow-body (1690mm) and the wide body as well, as exported. Available in RWD & 4WD. I have made the suggestion before. How can the gas engine be at 75°? There's no room for it in that position. The diesel lies flat (so there's a flat-4 that's not a boxer). Either engine would make a great conversion. The gas is an injected DOHC 16V 2.4. The diesel, coded 3C-T, is a mechanically-injected 2.2-liter (I THINK it's not EFI) SOHC 8V.

It should fit with room to spare. -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin, New Zealand 64 (3) 473-8863 <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Fossil preparator Seashell, Macintosh & VW/Toyota van nut
