I did 2 layers of carpet padding 1 felt and 1 foam, and generic automotive
carpet on top, all of this over top of the factory stuff.  It probably reduced
the noise coming from the floor, but you can't tell because of the other noise
in the cabin.

However, the dogs liked it, it was soft enough to sleep on.
