Many thanks to all who gave me advice on and off the list. I was about to order one from Volks Cafe in California, when my mechanic sourced what may be the last new plastic one in Sydney, 1,000 miles away (and where I'm heading). It is winging its way to me as I type. I reckon it will see me out, if not the van.
