Jeff, I have the same problem. But I did get my left shroud off, and found I could holesaw a 1-1/2" hole through it for future use. The hole is 2" in from the straight edge, and if you measure the length between the exhaust stud mounting brackets as 11", then the hole is 4-1/4" back from the front bracket. It holesawed very easily. You will need a slightly long allen (6mm?, or 6.5mm?) on a 3/8 extension to work it. If you figure out the placement of the hole needed on the right head shroud, I would appreciate it. Stan 87 syncro ------------------------------------------
