If you are satisfied with their work, how about sending their name and address etc. and your commments to info@vanagon.com so that it can be put on the http://www.vanagon.com/vendors/shops.html page. As it stands, there are no repair shops listed for SD.

Maybe you should wait 5,000 miles or so, to see if their repair lasts longer that the other one.

FWIW, my wife HATES it when our van breaks down on a trip. I try and convence her that it's part of the adventure. I hope that you meet some nice folks, or have a better meal, or vist a place that you might not otherwise have experienced. Malcolm
