Seems like it wouldn't be too hard? It wouldn't have to be perfect, I'd buy a set of three. Jay et all, it has already been done. Guess you missed my post to the List a while back. A Montreal member of Quebec based club Club international de camping-car Westfalia {http://www.westfalia.qc.ca/} has made them. I am a distributor. They are listed on my Vanagon Items Forsale {http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/sales.htm} webpage. Westy service entrance door w/pin, similar to OEM, made in Quebec, QCD001 - $21.75 CND ~ $17.00 USD. They are black, look almost like the originals, use Velcro, which is provided, to keep closed and include a new wire hinge pin. You may be able to use your old spring if you still have it. I have not yet tried to do this.

Cheers
