Subject: 5w50 Oil in winter?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Just wondering what you guys think of the idea of using 5w50 synthetic oil in the winter. Its painful starting my vanagon at this time of the year with the 20w50. Seems like a 5w50 would give my vanagon a nicer startup when cold and still have the higher viscosity when warmed up. Any reasons why this would be a bad oil to use?

regards, Brad
