I checked out the wiring under the dash at the fuse box at the fan switch found whoever installed the radio tapped into this switch at first...which is when the switch and fan motor probably blew???? Then, changed there mind and went to the black/grey wire at the Relay...Yes, Relay. There is the switch on the left of the dash that operates the rear fan motor... The switch that is on the right (facing dash) believed to be the front fan motor and defrost switch is the one that is inoperable. With Key on, as soon as I turn the knob over the fuse blows. Even without the wipers off...motor never turns on...Stuck or just not working due to motor being blown or switch being blown. So, it looks like I may have to tear into the dash to find the fan motor...not looking forward to it. Looks pretty tight in there! So, the entire dash has to come off? I will read Bently tonite. I should be able to send 12v to the fan motor; bypassing the switch. Didn't try that! Tomorrow's another day... LR |
