Chris, Currently I'm running 2001 Porsche Boxster S 17" wheels on my '87 GL. They are 7" in front and 8.5" in the rear. I don't recall the offset. Because of the different bolt pattern (5x112 Vanagon vs. 5x130 Porsche) you will need to use adaptors to fit the wheels to the van. I designed and had manufactured a number of sets of wheel adaptors. They are CNC machined out of T6061 billet aluminum and use 10.9 grade hardware. They are really nice items. You didn't mention the offset of your wheels, but these adaptors should work for you. I have some extras available if your are interested. Let me know if you want to see some pictures. Let me warn you about some of the other adaptors I have seen for sale (I actually bought a set for testing purposes). They were made out of crudely cut steel. The steel was not even thick enough to catch all the splines on the studs once they were pressed in. If you want to run nice wheels, spend the extra money to do it the right way. Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Cheers, Bruce
