Lived in Alaska many years. Put up with a lot of snow. Best solution: Put it in a garage, carport, or what have you. Next best solution: Keep a full size broom in your van. Most Alaskans don't have the luxury of garages or carports. Not all but most. As I was in the group of don't haves. I lived with the broom things for years. Works well. Takes only a couple of minutes to sweep it clean. Full size broom is the ticket.
