Among a bunch of more serious problems I had with my TIICO before giving up at 17k was the one where I had to have the CAT welded seven different times where it broke off, that was corrected by having a trio of "L" brackets welded on it. We ended up removing the AC compressor and re-bending the bracket Matthew correctly refers to as "junk". It helped a little. This engine is seriously flawed. I do remember a thread a year or so ago in which a lot of advice was given which should now be in the archives. Basically the advice is what Matthew said, go to the corresponding VW Golf brackets.
