Here's an alternative to an electric seat heater retrofit. A HoMEDICS Back
Therapist. 12volt 5 motor Heated Seat Massager.

It fits well over the Vanagon seat and the 3 speed selectable zone massage
is great for long trips. plugs right into the lighter socket and you are
warm and vibrating... Whooohooo.

Available at K-Mart for $36 USD and comes with a 110 v transformer for use
at home. I'd be happy to send you a photo of it installed if you'd like.
