Sounds like a temp 2 or O2 sensor problem. I have found the connection through the temp 2 sensor plug is more of a problem than the sensors it self. Again, bad ground connections can cause havoc.

Hello all,

My Westy w/ 2.1L w/ Digifant is running fine when cold, and also when it goes through a full warm-up cycle (5 miles+).

However, if I only drive a couple or three miles, then shut it down for a while (grocery store run), it starts hard, blows white smoke, and will only accelerate from idle if I floor it with no load. Once it's going again, it seems kinda OK, but a little doggy.

The idle valve is disconnected, I've found no vacuum leaks, and the temp II sender seems OK, though I haven't used a voltmeter on it.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Karl Wolz
