Actually, the worst is when it thaws and refreezes, becoming glare ice under your tires. It especially loves to do this when you have to back uphill to get out.

Oh, and come spring that stuff that's still stuck on your roof will melt, run down the sides, and refreeze, then when you go to open the door you rip the weatherstripping off.

If you have an old aircooled bus, the slush will slide off the roof and into the air vent, where it will land on top of your battery and make it go dead.

All of the above has actually happened to me. ;)
