I just got the same email, interestingly enough it was addressed to one email that I don't have associated with paypal. Keep an eye on your wallet, folks.

I just gone though a tone of password changing after someone got access to my paypal account. I got lucky and stopped the transaction before it went through but it still created a lot of work, changing passwords on most of my accounts along with getting new credit cards.

It's still not clear to them or me how this all happened. I don't do a lot of shopping on line but none the less with the Holiday season coming up please take my advice, change you paypal account and make sure it's not the same password you use ANYWHERE else and doubly sure it's not the same as your email account! I also found out in the process that all email from paypal will address you by your account name NOT dear pay pal member or such. The man I spoke with said they have been getting word of email scams that work like this.

You get an email saying your account will be inactive in 5 or 10 days unless you update your information attached to this email is an application (I've got a mac and it wouldn't run) You click on it fill in the information and it says thanks you for taking the time bla bla bla and that's it they've got your info.

Sorry if this is off topic I just know how many of us use paypal.
