Be sure to check and see if the cable end isn't about to wear through the pedal metal itself. I've replaced one like this. A little more wear, and the clutch would have suddenly engaged and stayed that way!

Okay list SOMEONE must have experienced this problem. My clutch pedal squeaks very annoyingly every time I change gear. I have tried squirting all sorts of lubricants from the footwell, but it is a pretty inaccessible place back there. Some things reduce the squeak for a while but then it comes back, especially in the cold.

Does anyone know any tips or a simple way to access the pedal axis I may have overlooked (i.e. without removing the dash)? TIA Michael 1981 Westy 'Daisy'
