Volks, I installed a new alternator belt the other day -- started the engine up, no charging problems. Came back a couple of days later, started the engine, and the alternator light is on, pulsating to the time of the engine (literally, you can see it get brighter as each piston fires). Revving the engine didn't help. The alternator is relatively new; I've never had problems with it before. Has the belt stretched? I put it on and pulled the alternator as tight as possible.
