So after changing the gasket and screen on my automatic transmission there is a small drip/leak at one of the corners of the pan. I've tried tightening the bolts further, but it looks like I did not get the gasket seated quite correctly. I did notice that when I was putting the new gasket on that it seemed to be a tight fit and it is very difficult to see wether or not the gasket is seated correctly all the way around once you start tightening those 4 bolts. So can/should I use some sealant/adhesive in the groove to keep the gasket in place? I'd like to get it right and know that it is in there correctly and will last. Anybody been there??
