Hey All, Since the cold has moved in... I am having problems starting when cold. The Van will start on the first crank. But then It has a tendency to stall. Then when i try to start it again... it won't. It is definitely getting too much fuel. If i let it set for like 5 min. and then start it. No problems...but it smokes for the first min. or two until it starts to warm up. The smoke is from to much fuel. I stuck my sniffer in the smoke and it is definitely a rich running situation. So my question is...what should i look for? Once warm.. no problems. SInce my 89 has a heated oxygen sensor...does the sensor kick in right away? Or is it open loop for a while until it kicks in? Only other thought i had was maybe a leaking injector... but that would cause more problems when it's warm outside and I did not have any problems then. Hmmmmmm... Any help would be great, thanks much, jesse 89 carat |
