Hello everyone. I am new to the mailing list. I have searched for the answer to my questions in the archives but to no avail. When installing a K&N air filter yesterday, I noticed that I did not have an air filter in my '86 Syncro. I'm not sure how long it was missing but I believe it may have disappeared about 2 months ago when I brought it to a repair shop to have some work done. My questions are: 1. What kind of damage could be done? I haven't driven in any dusty conditions and my van has only been used around town. 2. What should I do, if anything, to clean up the mess caused by a lack of air filter? 3. Should I go smack the mechanic around that was working on it when it surreptiously disappeared? Thanks for any info. everyone. John Connors '86 Syncro Jersey City, NJ |
