Aiwa sound-cancelling earphones make a remarkable difference in an '84 Westy. You can really hear the rattles with the roar largely suppressed... <g> Kinda bizarre, but fairly cheap at $50 per, and certainly easy. The effect seems a lot greater when you turn them off than when you turn them on.... Rig up a couple boom mics and an intercom circuit and you can whisper in each other's ear. Can do that without the noise cancelling, of course. david ps -- if someone else is doing this, we get a pronounced click in the phones when going over a sharp bump. Phones powered, doesn't matter whether they're plugged in to anything but your shirt pocket. Click may be one ear or both, and typically not exactly simultaneous if both. Sometimes one pair will click and not the other -- I think. Any experience/clue? I have a couple thoughts, not tested yet.
