Most of the increase in power will start around 2800-3000 rpms. Although there is an increase at lower rpms it is not as prevalent as it is when you get higher up in the rpms. It will not shorten the life of the engine by any means. The power curve is pretty much the same; its just higher along the same lines :) I am in the process of finding a dyno sheet for everyone to look at. This is a pretty mild cam as far as cams go; it wont make the idle lumpy or anything like that. MPG would be affected positively. Esp on the freeway.
