True story.
My hore started beeping on my 83 jetta while i was in trafic stoped at a
light. You all
guised it. I was behind a police officer. He gets out of the car ,does the
hike up of his gun belt and walks back to me. He sees that i have both hands out
in plane site and the horn is going like crazy and starts laughing. Could
this happen at a worse time?
He offered me a flashlight and i found the horn and pulled the wire.Both had
a good laugh and a good story out of it. ; )

The cause of the horn beeping was that one of the screws that hold down the
wiper/dimmer assembly had backed out and was making contact with thw brass
ring.
Ya still have to pull the wheel off but hope that it is this simple.
