I think this (below) hits it on the head. Also noted that it is no standupcomic.com. Maybe he was just tryo\ing to put a comical spin on it for effect. I was thinking the guy was quite the a-hole while reading. The way he was demeaning the locals instead of enjoying meeting different people and learning about the US. Isn't that why they went on such a trip?

Interesting in the post-rollover photo how the passenger side front roof is all caved in, but the door frame is still intact. Ah, now I remember they had a big bin up on the luggage rack. That is something to think about for putting stuff up there right over your head. If you roll, the frame of the vehicle is not able to prevent that stuff from caving in the roof on you. Maybe we can learn something valuable from this.
