Bleed and or replace your clutch slave and master. JT 82 Dieselfant II - Well Bled slaves -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com]On Behalf Of Dan Barrett Sent: Sunday, November 23, 2003 1:41 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: sticking gears
Volks, Just got my bus back on the road after an engine swap. It's been sitting for awhile (four months or so). The past couple of times I've driven it, it's been somewhat difficult to shift: easy to get in and out of first/second; takes more effort than usual to get out of third/fourth; and gets stuck in reverse almost always. I've ended up rocking it out of gear when I've been stuck in reverse. 160,000 miles on the tranny; shifted like butter before it sat. Suggestions? d. 1990 GL -- "Mudskipper" Now with 100% Boston Bob power! |
