Has anyone here modified their auxilary (espar) to be able to make it run when the engine isn't running? It shouldn't be hard, since -- at least on the diesel fired one on my '82 diesel westy -- it normally keeps running for about 10 minutes after you shut off the engine anyway. I'm thinking that timer can simply be wired around with a switch, or maybe even a thermostat? A thermostat run espar would be a great mod for winter camping. And there are many models listed on the espar site which are set up for continual running.
