i'm not familiar with this particular heater but from the picture it looks
as if the red button is the pilot lighting by pass.  hold the red button
down then stick some flaming item in the pilot lighting window.  looks
like the window with the two wing nuts.  once the pilot is light continue
holding the red button down for at least a minute until the thermocouple
warms up.  then you should be able to release the button and the pilot
should remain lit.  if it does close the pilot window up and turn the
thermostat on and through the glass in the pilot window you should see the
burner kick on.

you mention that its electronically ignited in the email but i don't see
anything that looks like electronic ignition unless is routed around the
back of the unit.  if it is electronic ignition you should see either some
thing that looks like a spark plug or that looks like two pointed metal
electrodes over the burner assembly.  you should be able to see the
electronic ignition by opening the window held on with the wing nuts.
