Sam, Holy Mother of God protect my Vanagon from internal engine corrosion, pitting heads, seeping coolant under the head gaskets, blocked coolant passages and any type of overhearing problems for as long as I own this interesting boxy rectangle that seems to drive well down the road... Holy Smokes I just read all the stuff you send in my direction. Very interesting material. The conclusion... Change the coolant every 2 years.... with a good brand of non phosphate coolant.... I guess... or don't drive... Actually I'm going sailing south but this also relates to the Yanmar diesel engine in my boat. Let me ask... what type of coolant do YOU use and how often do you change it? Thanks much for all your help.. Jim PS.. Scott Fisher of the Jaguar is informative and has a great sense of humour. |
