Maybe the latch cover plate. I can't remember if it comes off with the panel
or not. Any closing handle will likely have to come off also. I think my
panels are held in by metal clips. There are some special interior service
tools available to help it go smoothly; usually sort of like a two-pronged
fork for prying. If you just start pulling the cardboard may tear where the
clips mounts.

I doubt there's anything specific. Pull it away where you need to access the
parts in question. The stickum might still hold upon reinstallation.
Probably an interior tack adhesive would do, as well.
