Dear Vanagoneers- I've managed to inspire a friend to purchase an '85, but among other things it has the following faults: 1) a broken temp gauge & broken fuel gauge 2) and a sticking high idle (at around 3000). I've never personally had to deal with these things on my Vanagons, so I am at a loss of what to suggest. I'd like to help him sort these things out, and can give further details, if needed. My friend is mechanically un-inclined, so I, or a shop, will be carrying out the repairs. Any suggestions of what to look into? Tom -- |
