This is a very common failure mode for these speedo's. Go to www.pelicanparts.com & look for the tech brief on speedo repair in the Porsche 914 section. The speedometer still works, but the miles are no longer counted. An odd un-coupling of the function of this gauge - I've never seen a VW/VDO speedo/odo die like this before. The Bozobus ate a *bunch* of speedo cables, but that lost both measurements. I'll miss estimating the MPG... ================================================ -- Frank Miller My office is a cool 63.27 F (17.38 C) (Last updated: Nov 30 01:00:01 reading sensor 0 in Hilliard, Ohio) |
