Subject: more oil pressure buzzer / light problems
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Since my last post on this problem I have replaced the buzzer board and the electrical connectors near the thermostat housing and also tested the van with another instrument panel, I also changed to 20W50 oil and tested both the .3bar and .9 bar oil pressure sensors and both seem to work fine as per the Bentley manual. The problem seems to be getting worse. I now get the red blinking light at idle and after driving at 55 to 65 mph for a few minutes get the buzzer and red blinking light combo as soon as I drop below 2K rpm. This only occurs when the van is warmed up.The van though is running fine, there is no suggestion of running hot, the oil is full and I am out of ideas. This engine is a fresh rebuild, with about 1k miles, it runs great. What next? I am contemplating taking it to the dealer to have the actual oil pressure tested. I hate going to the dealer, any dealer. Any constructive or humorus input is appreciated, Joe in NH
