Special interest shops which are related to things like biking, hiking, climbing, kayaking, etc. almost always have a very laid-back attitude about providing that. My #1 spots in Moab and St. George are bike shops. That's why I have an oversupply of energy bars. It's also why I carry the extra 5 gal. orange plastic water container in the luggage rack. Good back-up and it's half the amount of the regular Westy storage. Also, check at restaurants. I found they were my best source in the Vail area and have used them when I could see a spigot. I started carrying a longer hose just so I could get to the source when I couldn't park my camper close. One of the harder day to day issues to resolve while fulltime traveling has been good sources for fresh water.

Especially in the winter months in cold climates when most places shut off there outside spigots.

I would be interested to hear how others have dealt with this need.

My current water sources:

Gas Stations Cemeteries RV Dump Stations Campgrounds Friends Houses

any where I can find an outside spigot.

Note ... I carry an assortment of tools and hoses to connect to almost any fitting I might come across and the guideline that it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission.
