Has anyone ever done any work on their cruise control systems? What broke? How did you diagnose and fix it?

PS I took the "shrubbery" comment to be an allusion to the old Monty Python movie where the Knights who say "Ni!" (well, most of them anyway) won't let the questers pass until they bring them (the Knights, I mean) a shrubbery that's been cut down with a herring. No politics there! I also thought it was a pretty funny post.
