Subject: (NVC) '91 Cabriolet Loses Pwr, Bucks, Stalls, Won't Restart
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Howdy all,

Girlfriend has a '91 Cabriolet with a L4-1781cc 1.8L SOHC that loses power, bucks to a stop and stalls, won't restart. When it occurs the car doesn't back fire. Sometimes starts right up and doesn't reoccur, sometimes won't restart. Sometimes bucks for miles at highway speeds without stalling. It doesn't happen locally (within 100 miles or so). It does happen pretty much every time she attempts 250 mi. trip DC area to Blacksburg, VA down I-81. I don't have the specifics on what's been done thus far. I know fuel some fuel system and exhaust components have been replaced. After $2000 it's time for an answer or a new car. I say go for a new(er) car but that's not going to happen now. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.
