I don't know anything about this heating system, but I have a question about the knob on the dash in the extreme right of the picture, almost eclipsed by the steering wheel.

What is it?

My 83 diesel has one. It says "heat." It lights up if you turn it to any of its three positions. But it doesn't do anything, and my camper never had a heater installed that I could tell. My mechanic shop has never seen one.
