I have towed a 4x8 utility trailer with this setup. I have a few times hauled gravel in it, which put me "weigh" over the limit of the trailer, hitch, van, etc. Probably at least 2000lbs gross. Nothing broke or bent. I can't really tell it's back there when it's empty, and it seems to do fine filled with fluffy compost I often haul. maybe 500-1000 lbs gross? Edward
