Seems like a good idea, but it won't work. You cannot charge a lead acid battery with only 12V. For obvious reasons, the PC 12V PS is pretty well regulated to 12V.

Without going to war with folks over exact tenths of volts, and other minute details, if your lead acid battery is at 12V, its only about 75% charged. Lead acid requires a voltage of around 2.4V/cell, or 14.5V total, to get any where near a decent charge on the battery.
