Use the 20w-50. The 10w-30 will cause oil pressure problems during extended highway travel. Better yet would be a synthetic such as Mobil 15w-50. The Waterboxer needs a high viscosity oil due to it's poor tolerances, marginal oil pump capacity, and the fact that the case expands when heated increasing clearances at the bearings.

I ordered my Bentley, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Can someone please tell me what the suggested temperature range for 10W30 is in a water cooled vanagon? How about 20W50? I need to get down to maybe -5 to -10 C, no lower.

(I don't mean to start one of those endless recurring discussions...)
