Subject: FS: '90 Multivan

Volks,

I've recently taken in a 1990 Multivan that I'm reluctant to part out. If anyone's interested in purchasing it whole, please read on...

It's a '90 Multivan Westfalia, sometimes called a "Weekender", 4 speed, A/C, PS, Power locks, windows, mirrors, alloy wheels, and fiberglass bumpers & skirts.

Located in West Sacramento, CA.

Poptop is pretty decent with only one small cut (~3" long) in the canvas where some putz closed the poptop latch on the canvas. Interior is decent as well, but quite dirty. Two rear facing chairs are missing, but I could be persuaded to include one or two seats.

The body has some damage on the passenger side. Nothing severe, a ding in the front right, a whack on the sliding door (needs new door), and a rub on the right rear wheel well flare. The rest of the van is fine. It was recently painted a purplish blue (badly matched to the original Cobalt Blue), probably by some fine establishment like MAACO or 1-Day.

The engine runs, but over-heats. Due to time constraints, I haven't spent any time figuring out why. Tranny, brakes, steering, etc. all look to be okay.

The van came from a charity auction, and as such, will be sold with a bill of sale and an acquisition number. If registered in California, it will be issued a "salvaged" title when re-registered. Other states may be different.

It's raining today, but if anyone is seriously interested, I could probably take some pics.

I'm asking $2,000 and I'm probably not too flexible on price.

Cheers,
