Grungy asked: "Has anyone on the list had to deal with explaining away an odometer repair?"

Let's see......a van that's old enough to vote, with a mileage of about the distance to the moon...no, I don't think I've ever had to explain mine. Nobody cared. If anyone does ask me, I will tell them that that the 280,000 miles might be a bit low and I will deduct $0.25 from the asking price.

Hee Hee Hee! ;-)

But seriously, I would be wary if the van DIDN'T have an altered speedo.
