Hi Folks, I sold my 89 to a friend in Oregon (ended up just putting the engine from my 90 in it). Anyways, it developed an idling problem and I had her remove the small cable section used to fix the vanagon syndrome, that helped the surging idle for a few days but then the van developed a stalling problem and it stalled and never started again at an intersection and had to be towed home. So, since I can't go up there and help her I was wondering if anyone here on the list could recommend a good mechanic in the Eugene area (or maybe even be willing to help her figure out the problem) She's eager to learn about how to keep the vanagon running and is interested in eventually putting another more reliable engine in it. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Loretta 87 Syncro GL (for sale) 90 GL (engineless w/ leaky trans) 92 Ford Sportsmobile |
