Thanks for the replies It does seem that I just have to accept the pain of sliding & rotating the passenger seat and getting out the Phillips screwdriver to be able to jump-start my vanagon when I have been stupid, like leaving on an electric appliance. The battery cable connector looks neat but I think I will put that on the list of things I pretend I am going to do. As many of you know this list is all consuming.
